Seasoned executive brings 24+ years of complex risk expertise to expanding regional platform.
LOS ANGELES, CA. – February 2, 2026 — The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (Liberty) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian B. Squire as President, Middle Market Property & Casualty – Southeast Region. Based in Liberty’s Destin, Florida office, Squire will oversee the firm’s offices across the Southeast, with a focus on accelerating regional growth, expanding middle market capabilities, and strengthening client and carrier relationships across key industries.
With more than 24 years of experience insuring complex Property & Casualty risks, Squire brings deep expertise across association, hotel, resort, and hospitality exposures, as well as a strong track record of building and scaling insurance operations. He began his career with Destin Bank, where he played a pivotal role in building the organization’s in-house insurance firm from the ground up in 2001. Following Destin Bank’s acquisition by Whitney National Bank in 2005, Squire remained in a leadership role before joining Hays Companies in 2010, where he continued to expand his regional and technical leadership footprint.
Squire is widely recognized as a trusted industry advisor, having served in multiple leadership and governance roles, including Chairman of the Market Accountability Advisory Committee for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation and Technical Advisor to its Depopulation Committee. His professional service also includes board appointments with the Florida Bankers Association and the American Heart Association, as well as being named an Honorary Commander at Hurlburt Field in 2022. These roles reflect his deep understanding of regulated insurance markets and his commitment to responsible, sustainable growth.
In his new role at Liberty, Squire will lead the continued expansion of the firm’s middle market P&C platform throughout the Southeast, aligning regional execution with Liberty’s broader growth strategy. He will work closely with producers and leadership teams to enhance market access, drive organic growth, and support clients navigating increasingly complex risk environments.
